Our NEW Chicago Mail Bag was inspired by the US Postal Bags used in the 1960’s. A really great design that wasn’t necessarily ideal for modern-day use. We wanted to stay true to the original designs but with some logical and practical upgrades. We squared up the flap for a better visual appearance, we added some leather internal panels for organization and incorporated our favorite, heavy-duty brass swivels (Made In Italy) on flap that are lockable with a slight roll of the finger.
The best part of our Mail Bag No. 721 is the leather we use. The base is Horween® Chromexcel and to add luxury and a little more visual flare, we accented much of the bag with genuine Horween Shell Cordovan. A very cool detail that sets this bag apart from any other modern-day version.
